P.S. If you just completed your 6th sem and get placed in TCS before 8th sem, you can negotiate for a better package when you attend an interview with another company.
If you just completed your 4th sem, I think this is a great opportunity to land an internship. Doing an internship will increase your practical knowledge, introduce you to corporate work culture and greatly increases your chances of getting placed next year. Also, if TCS likes the work you do during the internship they might also offer you a job without going through pool/ campus placement.

As the civil engineering 4th sem “Analysis of Determinate Structures” paper leaked, VTU announced that the exam stands cancelled and announced 9th July 2 to 5 pm as the new date and time for the re-exam. Check out the official circular for more details.
P.S. I know this is going to upset those of you who booked flight tickets between 6th and 9th of July. But VTU postpones exams without fail almost everytime, so next time try to book your tickets with a gap of a few days upto a week after the last exam.

VTU issued a circular to all colleges saying that students should compulsorily enter the examination hall 20 mins before the exam starts. While this might just look like a formal exam-time reiteration of existing rules because of the upcoming exams, I think students should take this very seriously, especially considering the recent alleged question paper leak.
VTU also issued a seperate notice saying that examination staff cannot carry books or gadgets inside the examination hall. Considering this, students can expect the “20 mins before exam starts” rule to be implemented very strictly, atleast for the remaining semester exams. So be early to avoid any unnecessary hassle.
VTU Released a notification for applying for photocopy and revaluation of 2nd 6th and 8th semester examinations conducted in June July 2015. The details of the notification including the fee with and without fine and the last dates are in the image below.
