2018 passouts can apply for Provisional Degree Certificate


VTU issued a circular saying 2018 B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. passouts can apply for PDC. PDC is a temporary degree certificate issued by VTU until you get your Degree Certificate after convocation. This might be required if you want to apply for Masters programs or job before convocation.

Here is the procedure to apply for the same:

  1. Download the application form available at http://vtu.ac.in/pdf/onlineform/pdc.pdf . Print and fill the same.
  2. Fee for PDC is Rs. 400 than can paid online at http://vtu.ac.in/online-fee-payment/ . After the payment, print the online fee receipt.
  3. The following documents from the above steps should be submitted:
  • Filled in application form
  • Online fee receipt

Application Process

You can submit your application to one of the two following places:

VTU Headquarters Belagavi

  1. If you submit in-person before 12 Noon, PDC will given to you the same day
  2. If you submit it through post, your PDC will be posted after about 7-10  working days from the date of receipt of your application

VTU Regional Office Bengaluru

Submit your application and your PDC will be posted after about 7-10 working days

  1. What shuld we mentioned in tabular colomns of total marks? I’m CBCS scheme student. Shuld i mention SGPA or CGPA in those columns.

    1. Just mention the main place name like Bengaluru… Dont give the whole postal address.. we are mentioning the postal address in the application form so they will send it to that address..

  2. I am unable to find the payment option.
    There is only SBI link. If I click on it, it takes me to a page after accepting some terms and conditions, then a page with what institute and stuff, then there is an application, like I need to fill my name, USN, phone number, address and email. In the same thing it shows multiple blank spaces, like Consolidated marks card, Duplicate marks card, PDC and more.
    If it was like an option I would have ticked it, but it is like the address field, so I don’t know what to fill in that space.
    And in the end it asks me to attach the receipt of the payment.

    How can I attach before paying. I don’t know how to do it bro. It’s been 4 months since I passed out. My friends have already got the PDC. I asked them to help, but they said there was another option with SBI, called PayUmoney, and now that option is missing. They couldn’t help.

    Anyone please help, if you know how to do it.

  3. What is payment ID to be filled, in fees e receipt there is SBCollect reference number DU98653848. Is this the payment I’d number (there is no data as payment I’d in fees e receipt, it has only SBCollect reference number)
    Is SBI collect reference number same as payment id
