P.S. If you plan to book your flight/train tickets early be warned that almost all the time VTU postpones exams to dates beyond the last exam due to unforeseen events in the last minute. So if possible, book your tickets for a date about a week/two after your last exam.

VTU released a new circular on 8th Sept 2018 with changes to the Year-Back System for previous scheme CBCS scheme students i.e., students who joined during 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Please note that VTU did not make it clear if this applies to 2018 CBCS Scheme students. Here are the changes:

VTU released a circular saying that the last date for application of revaluation and photocopy of 3rd to 6th semester exams conducted during June July 2018 is extended from 16th August 2018 to 24th August 2018.
Note:The first date in the circular below is the last date for application of revaluation and photocopy without penalty rather than “Starting date for online filing of applications”. It is a mistake.

VTU released a new circular explaining that the mandatory Kannada course, carrying 1 credit, that will be studied by 2017 batch students in either 3rd or 4th semester is actually 2 different courses.
These are the two courses:
Your college principal will decide appropriately and put your name in the one of the two lists.

P.S. If you are a student from one of the other states, you will likely neglect this course thinking that it will be of no use for your future. But it is very likely you will work in Bangalore or other cities in Karnataka after you graduate. So this is a good opportunity for you to understand and embrace the culture and language of the local people.
